Fluincr wants to support the content creation community by promoting responsable advertising standards to protect not only you, but also your followers and the brands you represent. While you should consult with relevant advertising laws here are four universal principles you should follow:
1. Disclose early and very clearly (make it difficult to miss) when you have a financial, employment, personal, or family relationship or material connection with a brand or product. A financial relationship can including receiving money or free or discounted products or services.
2. Be authentic and truthful about the product or service, including your real experience with it… Avoid making unproven, false or disingenuous claims about the product, service or brand.
3. Advertising and/or endorsements of products such as medicines, alcohol, tobacco, energy drinks, among others, usually have special regulations with respect to advertising. Consult local laws or a legal expert when in doubt.
4. Respect the copyrights of third parties and their intellectual properties (ie. digital photos, videos, music, etc) and have the prior, express and informed authorization of any person who appears in your digital content, preferably in writing.
